I needed medical attention on a Sunday, 111 was so busy I had a 11 hour wait until I got an appt at the GP Out of Hours Service at Glanwili. for 10.30 PM ish I'm dog sitting and had a 26 mile drive to get there in the dark...nerveracking. A fabulous Midwife offered to show me the way to A and E , then a very busy but helpful receptionist then showed me the GPs service. I was so proud to be a member of the NHS for 40 years . The GP (male)..so sorry was so anxious and in pain I didn't catch his name. was reassuring, professional and I was there, seen and home in around 2 hours.!!! Midnight on a Sunday in the Welsh countryside. Absolutely amazing. Many thanks to 111 staff too. Helen. 18th -8-2019

As a recent occupant of bed 23 on Preseli Ward Glangwili I cannot praise highly enough the wonderful care I received. I am in awe of how well the system works so brilliantly. Agency nurses seeming to effortlessly slot into the teams. What a fantastic turnaround from 8 years ago when I had the same procedure. Well done Preseli teams you are my heroes and made me feel like a V.I.P. From the bottom of my heart- Thank you, Anne

I have two experiences, one as a patient, when i was seriously ill with a pulmonary embolism. The care i received was outstanding, and the staff were so caring, popping in for a chat, nothing was too much trouble. My second experience was as a visitor, to see my husband who was terminally ill with brain cancer. When he went into a coma, near the end, the staff were amazing. They brought endless cups of tea and always made sure my husband was never left alone. I have nothing but praise, for all the doctors and nurses.I wish i could have all my hospital appointments here, instead of having to go to Hereford, where the care is absolutely atrocious.

Went in with a poorly 5 month old who had a high temperature and was dehydrated/ kept throwing all fluids up, clearly wasn’t well at all. We waited 5 hours to see a doctor! Who sent us through to paediatrics, this could of been done a lot sooner. Thankfully our little one is getting back to normal now but if we had if waited longer I am worried about what would of happened.

My 78 year old husband was seen at A&E on a 31/7/18 with severe back pain. The wait was not as long as we had expected and as soon as he was examined by a very efficient & courteous doctor, he was sent for an MRI. The only low point of this visit was awaiting a reply from Cardiff regarding the results of the MRI, despite the best efforts of the A&E medical staff. As time went on, my husband, who is an insulin dependent Diabetic, was given tea and sandwiches and as no ward beds were available, he was made comfortable in a small room in A&E until the next morning when he was seen by a different doctor and two Consultants to discuss surgical options before his decision to leave. He was treated very well by each member of staff who dealt with him and we are very grateful for the excellent standard of care he received. A huge ‘ THANK YOU' to all the staff at Glangwili A&E!

I was admitted after a difficult time to Towey ward. The staff here are amazing from the senior to the lady who brought the tea and meals.i was suffering from hallucinations and the night staff stayed with me and ensured that I was comforted and made to feel I was safe.i cannot praise the care I received enough-the staff on this ward are a credit to the NHS they truly understood the needs of all their patients and nothing was too much trouble with many kind words and time spent with people who needed assurance or just some time.

Very busy fracture clinic but although we had a long wait, we could not fault the care and attention given to my daughter who has broken her ankle. Thank you to all the staff in every department we visited today. Best NHS hospital we have been to.

Admitted to Preseli ward HTU after iliostomy -because of complications it meant that I have been in hospital since 25th October with discharge date set for tomorrow. The care and efficiency of all staff has been unbelivevable but a very special praise to the staff on Preseli ward. A very special team who are a credit to the NHS . Throughout my many trials and tribulations they have been there for me -doing their level best to help me through the pain and encouraging me at all times. They have gone above and beyond any expections that I had. I have never known a hospital quite like it where the staff pop in just to say hello and see how you are doing ( including the senior anaethetist and team) The ward is scrupulously cleaned several times a day by very amiable cleaning staff who again are happy to assist where they can. An absolutely treasure of ward that I honestly cannot criticise in any way.
